Our goal is to be able to provide same-day or next-day appointments, in-person/in-clinic appointments, or via telemedicine. We provide families and patients with up-to-date information that follows pediatric endocrinology medical guidelines and medical recommendations so you can feel supported on making an educated decision about your child’s care.

Our Pediatric Endocrinology Services

$175/visit
The visit includes the initial visit and the first follow-up appointment:
Unrushed evaluation of your child’s concerns
Review of PCP/Pediatrician notes, growth charts, and previous labs or studies (will need Release of Information or ROI from caregivers to obtain health care information)
Orientation and information using the most up-to-date medical guidelines
Labwork result follow-up with result review
20-minute follow-up appointment for lab review via videocall/telemedicine

The visit includes:
Updated PCP/Pediatrician notes, growth charts, and labs or studies
Unrushed evaluation of your child’s concerns and follow-up
Labwork result follow-up with result review
15-minute follow-up appointment for lab review via videocall/telemedicine
Monthly & Annual Memberships

$40/month or $400/year (when paid in full)
This is a great option for patients who need closer follow-ups throughout the year, to be considered after the initial appointment is completed.
The membership includes:
Up to three (3) in-person follow-up appointments per year
Up to three (3) follow-up appointments for lab review or concerns via videocall/telemedicine
Coordination of other specialties (referrals), labwork, and imaging
(Additional appointments available at $150 per visit)

$150/month for at least a 12-month commitment
This membership requires an initial evaluation ($175 for the initial visit and first 30 days), which includes:
Initial medical evaluation with diabetes education (minimum of 2 hours) for your and your loved ones.
Baseline lab orders as per American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of care and follow-up for review of results
Initial assessment and placement of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)
Weekly education assessment with feedback at the end of 4 weeks
Insulin pump orientation and medical readiness evaluation
The Diabetes Mellitus Membership includes (after the first 30 days):
Four (4) follow-up appointments per year, each including:
Patient evaluation as per American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of care
Further diabetes education for the patient and family members
Nutrition assessment
Growth and milestone review
Health goals/challenges
A bi-monthly (twice per month) CGM and insulin dosing review, including:
A 20-minute pump data review and insulin/medication dose adjustment, via telephone/videocall to address any concerns
A summary provided via out patient portal and/or email
Coordination of other services and specialties as needed. We will contact your school nurse and set up diabetes school plans, review any changes with other specialties, and make sure that your child is supported. We can include Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for caregivers who are eligible employees.

($325/month with a minimum 3-month commitment)
This membership requires an initial visit ($175), which includes:
Initial medical evaluation
Baseline labs to review for other endocrine conditions including monogenic obesity genetic variations.
Pediatric nutrition assessment and dietary recommendations as per American Academy of Pediatric (AAP) standards of care
Weight management equipment
Weight management medication, if applicable
The Weight Management Membership includes follow-up visits with:
Weekly weigh-ins and medication administration, if applicable
Lab follow-up and result review
Nutrition counseling and healthy lifestyle goals

We want to see your success! Whether you opted for an initial visit or you’ve joined our Weight Management Membership, all of our patients will have optional follow-up appointments for weigh-ins and progress reports after 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months.

Dr. Lugo is a board-certified Pediatrician from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). She is an active member of the Endocrine Society, Pediatric Endocrine Society (PES), and American Diabetes Association (ADA). This doctor is fluent in Spanish and English.

Motivational doggo / Snack enthusiast
Our 8-year-old border collie enjoys playing with his toys and taking morning naps. Lantus is a little fearful of video calls/telemedicine, but can be available to join the call upon request. Lantus is happy to see kids. Look him up on Instagram @sillylantus.
